FDR is in many ways to blame for the bombing at Pearl Harbor.
President Roosevelt had the resources and knowledge to prevent, or at least
prepare for, the tragic occurrence at Pearl Harbor, however chose not to
avoid the situation and submissively brought on the conflict. It was no
secret that FDR wanted in on the war. Japan was a threat to America’s
economic prosperity. If they controlled the Pacific, it would put a strain
on America’s resources for copper, rubber, tin, and other valuable goods.
These imports from the Pacific were all essential to America’s economy.
Japan, like Germany, was on a rampage. They had one goal, to take total
control of the Pacific. America and FDR knew ...

time. While America claimed to be "neutral," the U.S.’s actions
contradicted that statement when voluntarily shipping war materials to
China. In addition the U.S.A. also loaned money to China to prevent

provoking Japan, and it eventually did just that.
By 1941, America had the information and access to intercept and
crack Japan's war codes. The USA was completely conscious of an attack
planned on December 7. Not only did America know this, but the Dutch
intercepted a message and warned Washington. A British agent had also sent
warnings to the U.S. Because of the arrogance and superiority complex of
Americans, the U.S. fully blind sided by the attack. The U.S. military
foolishly believed that the attack would be unsuccessful because of the
