Qur’an and The Bible, there is a story of the creation of man. Similarly, each story is persistent of the concept of man being created by a dominant force. Man is made from mud in the Qur’an while he is created from dust in The Bible. Therefore, each of the creation accounts is parallel to one another in the sense that man is created out of earth by a powerful being.
Although the creation accounts in Christianity and Islam share similarities, they also share differences. Sin is a concept used in each religion that contradicts each other. The Bible shares a story of Original Sin which speaks of Adam and Eve. Eve is instructed to not eat fruit from a particular tree. She disobeys the higher being and according to The Bible, this is where the idea of Original Sin stems from. Meanwhile the Qur’an has no reference to Original Sin or disobedience of eating from a tree. However, the Qur’an does refer to an instance of Man and Woman in its creation.
