Love At First Sight?

Some people in today's society claim that someone can look at another person and just fall in love. This concept is known as love at first sight. But how can this be; how is someone able to love another person at the sight of that person? Even though it does not seem possible that love can occur at first sight, attraction at first sight can happen. Loving another person and being attracted to a person are two different concepts. One cannot possibly love another human being without truly knowing what that person is like; one has to know that person inside and out in order to truly love him or her.

totally devotes himself to that person and puts that person before his or her own needs. To love someone else enough to forget about yourself, even for one moment, is to be free.

For example, Todd falls in love with Rose. It appears to be love at first sight; however, when Todd steels a line from Rose's close friend bob, the relationship begins to unravel. Bob knows Rose, inside and out, Bob knows that Rose had six different smiles, and that her hair has a curly and straight cycle. Todd only "thinks" he is in love with Rose; but Bob "knows" he loves her. Rose realizes the great mistake that she makes in choosing the wrong man and, of course, they end up in love and happy.

It is seems that love at first sight is not possible because when someone truly loves another person, they know how that person is inside and out. Love comes from knowing another person completely. How can it be possible to just look at someone else, and know that one is in love with that person? When ...
