the spectrum, modern digital electronics are also very interesting. Not only are they much smaller and more durable, but they can also achieve a sound very close to that of vintage electronics. Essentially, digital audio electronics use a computer to modify the sound of the guitar. Most of the time, this computer simulates analog sounds, but it can also create its own, unique sounds that are only achievable using a computer.
One of my favorite aspects of electronics is the opportunity to breathe new life into old electronics, repurposing them for more modern applications. Old electronics are often very cheap, and yet they contain a wealth of quality parts, parts which often cost more to buy new than to buy the entire device they can be reclaimed from. I am very frugal, and salvaging parts appeals to me as a cheap way to source parts and fulfill my desire to create. This is evidenced by my workshop, which is filled with boxes of reclaimed parts.
