Every day, whether itís on the radio, television, or just parents, I hear everyone telling teens to stay in high school and ride it out to graduation or there is no chance of success. Why is physically going to school the only way to be successful? In my experience as a teen, I knew everything and didnít need anyoneís advice. Are the teens that donít want to be in school feeling like they donít fit in? Some people thrive on the experience of high school, while others just need the education to thrive.

of a huge audience, to receive their diploma. I do agree with the statement about people who stay in school and become involved with many activities tend to stay away from drugs and crime; however, we canít base our kidís bad involvement in the community solely on that.
A student who chooses to get his GED isnít any less smart or any less capable. Most teens know exactly why they donít wish to finish and stick out high school. The problem here is that parentsí counselors and teachers wonít listen to the reasoning. They simply refuse that there is any other way to success. These students deserve to have success however they choose. There are studentís that leave school with no intentions of going back, but there are also students that change their mind; studentís that are sick of being bullied, female students who have been ganged up on or raped by high school boys.
