The topic of sexual education of our children is one of the more heated debates within the public school system. On one side, typically labeled the religious right by their opponents, parents believe that they are the one best suited for the sexual education of their children. Supported by doctors, medical professionals, pastors and counselors, parents are up in arms by the co-opting of their responsibility to teach their children about sexual activity by their opponents. not only affect the rest of the person's life who makes the choice, but affects the life of another, and has the potential of creating a third life, a new person that will be totally dependent on the ones who gave it existence. When my actions can change the course of another person's life for ever, or create a new being, there are moral and ethical issues to discuss, and the attempt to co-opt the discussion by focusing on dissemination of information an attempt to bypass the moral component of this educational issue.
