The Battle of Bunker Hill was the first major battle of the Revolutionary War, the cause of it was the Americans wanted to keep the British from leaving the city, the effect of it was that the British won against 6,500 Americans. The Battle of Bunker Hill was officially named The Battle on Breed’s Hill. The war took place in Charlestown, Massachusetts in the Siege of Boston, on June 17, 1775. The battle was one of the bloodiest in history.
