In this next report I will be talking to you about . You stomach is your main organ because it mixes your food and breaks down food into units that can be taken into and used by your body. The stomach looks like a big bagpipe. The alimentary canal is a long tube inside your body that runs from your mouth to your anus. In the stomach food takes 10 to 20 hours to pass through the body. In the whole Digestive system there is about 6 main organs and they are your stomach, your large intestines, your small intestines, your liver, your pancreas, and your esophagus.

Enzyme is a kind of protein that speeds up chemical reactions in the body. If we didn't have enzyme everybody would be walking 1 mile an hour and you wouldn't have any energy. The Liver is an organ that stores food substances and produces bile. Digestion is the process that breaks down food so it can be used in the body. Saliva is a fluid that helps food down the throat. It's like having a drink in your mouth all ready. Your Gall Bladder is a sac that stores bile. So you Gall Bladder isn't one of your main organs. Your Small Intestines and your Large Intestines are a part of the intestine that digests food and absorbs nutrients and your Large Intestines are a part of your intestine that absorbs water and concentrates waste.
