The mission of Moses was to proclaim the law, which led people to Christ, to Israel; while grace and truth are revealed by Lord Jesus Himself. The "law" and the "grace" are two major steps of God's revelation.

The most difficult way to tell the mistake is that they misunderstand that by grace before non-deliverance, and by the law after being delivered. This is the mistake made by churches of Galatians. Galatians believed that they're justified by faith, for they already know deliverance is from grace. While after deliverance, affected by the Jewish law, completing in law, they kept "deliverance" by performing their own behavior. Although this kind of deliverance depends on the grace, but which happens just at the time of being delivered, after that it is must depend on obeying law.
