The collision caused a massive explosion that showered burning debris over surrounding buildings and the streets below.” September 11th was a time of confusion and fear for many Americans. Post 9/11 there were many conspiracy theories pitched. However, the facts are the attackers involved in the September 11th attacks were Islamic terrorists from Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations. The attacks were allegedly thought to be retaliations for America’s support of Israel, its involvement in the Persian Gulf War and its increased military presence in the Middle East (History.com). Furthermore, when the first plane struck New York City’s World Trade center most people thought what occurred was an accident.
