The Expansion of America

In the early 1800's many settlers moved west towards the Appalachian Mountains to create new states and territories. This expansion lead to America gaining control of some Mexican land and the southern part which is now known as Oregon. While expanding to the west coast as the goal of America was to own from coast to coast it led them into wars and arguments with the corresponding landowners and the people who lived there. What happened and why the causes of expansion and power in America caused conflict.
