The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins portrays a post-apocalyptic world. In the novel we read about power linked with corruption and the powerless. We also see throughout the novel that the Capitol clearly outlines two halves weather you are rich or a poor class citizens of the districts. The value of an individual is to rise up and make an appearance that stands out to make an important difference. It is a dangerous move to do in the Capitol because everyone in the Capitol has huge amounts of power and are rebellious towards others.

duty to make sure that there are two tributes from each district to compete in the Hunger Games, the Game makers get ultimate power to display the Governments power and to remind them that who is in control. Teenage tributes are forced to kill teens from other districts and one from their own district "Rues death has forced me to confront my own furry against the cruelty the injustice they inflect upon us" this is all a symbolic of how the Capitol prevents the people in the districts from joining forces and rebelling against the Capitol the Games keep the people of the districts divided and fighting among themselves.

In the beginning, katniss seems to undermine gender roles because she has to kill the other tributes in order to survive.
