Railroads covered over thirty-thousand miles of land and connected almost every main city in America. Railroads made transporting goods and people very fast and way less expensive than before. New roads also made is easier for people to transfer good from one place to another. Roads were made from tightly packing small crushed rocks and they cover over four-thousand miles of land in America. Water canals were another main way of transferring goods in the nineteenth century.
The Market Revolution also had influences from the Government and from ways of communication. The Government didn't play a large role in the revolution except for financing the development of these new ways of transportation.
