The public agenda creates the interest to turn into the news show, or read the newspaper to find out more about what is going on in areas of public interest. The media takes its cue from the public and covers the events and elements that interest the public. Sports take a lot of the media's time and interest but the teams and events that are being covered are the ones that the public has an interest in.
