Nietzsche explains three stages of human development. Each stage has its own desirable quality, and each adds value to the ideal which he calls the overman. In Nietzsche’s view, an overman should be capable to influence the past for an indefinite period. Overman will continue to re-enter the world through other people’s minds and impinge on their opinions and morals. Nietzsche thought that life helps one prevail over the feeling of its futility. It begins with the thought that life is an everlasting repetition with no start and no finish but a recurrence of the very same life over and over again. “You have not yet suffered enough” (299). It then makes him comfortable and pleased to reiterate that very same life again and again. At this point he views all the precedent actions, impractical or prudent, unintentional or accomplishing, as essential of becoming himself.
