To Kill a Mockingbird was written in 1960 by Harper Lee. Lee is a native of Alabama. This book reflects some of the attitudes and actions that still take place today. I took into consideration the fact that I am an African-American living in the South that does not know a whole lot about my Caucasian counterparts. A girl named Jean Louise "Scout" Finch told the story. She was a six-year-old whose best friend was her only and older sibling, Jeremy.
