Being an active high school student requires a lot of time and energy. Between all the classes, homework and after school activities we are as busy as they get. Constantly going through these routines at such a fast pace leaves us almost no time to enjoy dining on a healthy cuisine. Becoming hungry is an inevitable part of life and through our daily activities nothing sounds better than a juicy cheeseburger or some other quick indulgent on the go that make our mouths salivate and is able to keep up with our schedule. (www.myfit.ca) Fast food hasn’t been around forever, and even though it may seem as if we wouldn’t have survived without it, fast food wasn’t produced until the early 1920’s during rapid industrial growth. At the end of 1940s, there appeared a competitive company “McDonald’s” organized by two brothers. They created their own work principles: to sell food that does not require knife and fork; to turn kitchen into production line where a number of courses is prepared according to a certain recipe with the use of semi-prepared foods. Besides, they used self-service. All these factors contributed to making fast food cheap and easy to get despite its negative effect on human health.(New york Times)
