the verb choices he used was very descriptive as though he was reliving the moment again, when he was back in school.

He expressed everything was made of wood, the chairs, desk, and the librarian station and shelves, the vaulted ceilings and tall windows always had full of light. Then he described the stairwell that creaked, clanged and echoed beyond the mahogany doors.

* Discuss the image that comes to mind when the author says, "I scoured the bookstores to complete the collection, a collection that has traveled with me for 25 years. " How does the word choice in this sentence show, rather than tell about his love for these books?
