In her essay " A Cabdriver's Daughter" Waheeda Samady feels pride of her father and culture beyond what society says him a typical stereotype of an Afghanistan man, about her life as a daughter. very proud of her father and even with all of the stereotype leading towards where she is from, she knows they don't understand what her and her family have been through. People always sees her with respect and admires her as a Pediatrician, high moral profession and good looking lady. She looks up to her father and wants to be reflected off of his image even though people don't see her like same culture, same education and morals. Second Quote shows how she see her father not as a taxi driver, but a respectable man she loves. In the last Waheeda Samady feels herself worthless as a daughter of proud father and narrates, "This is who I am. If he is going to be labeled, then give me those labels too. If you are going to look down on him, than you might as well peer down on me as well. Close this gap. Erase this line. There is no differentiation here.
