ALD (Adrenoleukodystrophy) is a disease that develops in males from
the ages of 5-10 years old with a gradual disturbance in gait and slight
intellectual impairment. There is usually rapid progression with
hypotension, seizures, visual complaints, and difficulty in swallowing all
symptoms appearing within time. These children are born without the proper
enzyme to break down long chains of fatty acids. This disease is
transferred throughout the infected family. The females may also be
carriers of the disease. This disease may sometimes skip a generation, and

Focal or generalized seizures
~Hyperactivity
~Tends to progress rapidly with increased spasticity and paralysis,

oil
~Lorenzo’s Oil
- four parts GTO: one part GTE
- VLCFA- restricted diet with Lorenzo’s Oil may normalize C26
levels within four weeks
-normalizes RBC membrane microviscosity
