Greek Art especially in the Classical period. She wears a Peplos, which is a body length garment established as typical attire for women in Ancient Greece.

We can see her forms throughout her unbelted peplos; her face and her body are completely naturalized. They represent the child by the baby fat on her arm, and the female gender by her hair being barely fixed. This relief is completely naturalized which is typical from the Greek classical period (480 – 404 BCE). In addition to the fact that the figure is in strict profile which means that it is from Greek art, the girl’s left leg is slightly curved and her right leg is straight which means that there is a contrapposto by the shift of weight on the right leg. Nonetheless, the contrapposto is typical of the Classical Greek period, which gives the figure a relaxed appearance in addition to the comfortable stance due to the arch that is remarkable in her back.

“standing female worshiper” is a stylized cylindrical sculpture from 2600-2500 BC, the Early Dynasty period. It has been found in Nippur in the Inanna temple and is now exposed at the Metropolitan museum. This sculpture is made of limestone (rough stone) inlaid with shell and lapis lazuli (for the eye) in contrast to the first work of art, which was made of only one material (Parian marble).
