Diet Evaluation Essay

After logging my food for 3 days, there were 3 different strong points in my diet that I identified. I feel that these strengths were important to highlight as part of my diet. One strong point is that I am able to manage my carb intake when I need to. The next is that I can keep a low fat intake, specifically between 40-55 grams. Finally, the last strong point in my diet is that I can maintain a healthy sugar intake as well.

a result of this I manage my macronutrients fairly well as I watch my body weight. Specifically, I know to keep my Fats at a decent level, along with intaking the amount of Carbohydrates I need depending on the day of training.

My weaknesses in my diet come from many different factors. One being that I have an inconsistent vegetable intake, which leads to my low levels of numerous vitamins and minerals. I do not eat eggs and fish as much as I used to, so it is much harder for me to reach the levels of Omega's that I need as an athlete although I still supplement as needed. Also, I can say the same for my inconsistent B12 intake as well. I rarely eat red meats anymore alongside having numerous dairy products daily like I used to.

Throughout the semester I will address my weak points and correct them so that I can maximize my nutrition. In order to have a consistent Vitamin 12 intake, I will have 2-3 servings of 1-3 eggs per week, along with a more frequent serving of red ...
