for the food in the movie. So you can see making movies provides job security and keeps the unemployment line down.
On the other hand some may say that spending this type of money on a movie is insane. The money should be used to help society rather than cause violence (the belief that some movies lead to riots). Instead the money should be used to further research for life threatening diseases or to open a community center. The money should be used to improve education or to build better learning centers.
Movies can also be educational. Many famous plays and documentaries have been put on the big screen. Many of the American people don't participate in going to stage plays and therefore the big screen is the only way they can be educated.
