Getting Daily Exercise


One of the biggest concerns facing both Canadians and Americans alike, is the issue of leading a healthy lifestyle. Trying to maintain a healthy, physically active routine is for some people, a challenge. We all talk about exercise and know we should do it, but to actually get out there and stick with a regular routine is not always easy.
The article that I read and pondered over, left me feeling a little bit confused. The debate on whether to get enough physical activity to reduce the risks of many diseases such as breast cancer and other health concerns like cardiovascular disease, osteoporotic fractures, colon cancer and many others; is in contrast with the argument of whether too ...

of exercise, three times a week. This article states that you should get at least thirty minutes of moderately intense exercise everyday of the week. I feel this is quite a bit for some people and should not be stated as the “minimum” amount you should receive. I agree with having an exercise routine throughout your life, beginning when you are young (although it is never too late to start). I do not agree, however, with some of the demanding circumstances that young children are expected to endure by having too much to get thin because of the sport that they participate in. For example, gymnastics and ballet look upon and almost require a certain extent of thinness from young female athletes. If the exercise does not create the results they were hoping for, then sometimes the girls end up with eating disorders, especially if the girls are in a highly competitive level.
I feel that societies' view on a healthy lifestyle should start with what they feel is good for them ...
