Resulting in a door for spirits where the deceased could travel free amongst the living causing chaos. The Aztec civilization also believed that spirits of the dead could come and visit the living on their holiday. Unlike the Celtics, “the Aztec did not fear death they embraced it”(Day of The Dead).
In time the Romans took over parts of Celtic territory. Eventually two festivals came to be that were combine with the Romans and the Celtics. Feralia was the festival where the people would honor the dead. The other festival was to remember the goddess of fruit and trees, that the Romans, called Pomona.
