My Leadership Ability And Working Well With People

Two very important talents that I posses is are my ability to stand
out as a leader and my ability to work well with people through Community
Services.
One of the examples of my leadership was working at my church
summer camp over the past two summers where there are about 60 kids ages 5-
13. Last year I was asked by the camp the director to change groups
because another group was a more active that the others. I demonstrated
that I am a leader and the other counselors were able to use some of the
things I did with my group to help their groups. The very next year I was
asked to fill in as the Assistant Director because of an illness. This

I have participated in many community service activities in my
community through school and church. I am a member of my schools Service
Club. One of our activities was to buy gifts for needy children. I also
raked leaves for seniors and delivered food to their homes. I was also
involved in a dance marathon at my school that raised almost $2,000 for the
Doug Flutie foundation for Autism. Through my church youth group I have
also done many voluntary activities. I volunteered at a carnival for the
kids of the church running games and making cotton candy. I have
volunteered selling baked goods and also volunteered to adopt a grandparent
in my church. My basketball team has also been an outlet for my volunteer
work. We volunteered at a winter carnival for the town of Gates Recreation
