Personal relationships: Men and Women

Gender roles are the way people act, what they do and say, to express being a woman or a man. These characteristics are shaped by society. In "The Angel in the house" Virginia Woolf states how women conform to society, but also how it hard for them to do so in the same breath. The real trouble about women is that they must always go on to adapt themselves to men's theories of women, as they always have done.
