It is the end of September, and over a month of school has gone by at good old McTom High School. The students are well into their academic and extra-curricular routines. As always, new “puppy love” romances are developing. Couples can be seen holding hands as they smiled and giggled at each other. Of course, for inexperienced freshmen this can be quite a challenge since they want to be absolutely sure that everything they do is socially acceptable. No one wants to make a fool of themselves the first month of high school. Now, if you are shy then the challenge is even greater. This is the case for two freshmen, Mike and Daisy, as they try to become acquainted with each other.

quite embarrassed, promptly picks them up. At the moment he hands the books to Daisy, the couple makes eye contact. Mike introduces himself and something strange seems to overwhelm both of them, an instant “crush” has set in.
“Hey, I’m Mike,” he says with a smile on his face.
“I’m Daisy. We have the same second period class, Sex Ed,” replies Daisy with a little chuckle.
“Yeah, I know,” Mike comments. “The class seems kind of corny, but it’s part of high school.
“Well, see you around,” Daisy says as she rushes to class to avoid further conversation on the topic.
The two students walk into class and sit on opposite sides of the room. While Mr. Baits is lecturing the class and referring to notes on the Smart Board, Mike and Daisy are inconspicuously eyeing one another from across the room.
