Equity is neither law nor justice. They are different concepts, but they go along with each other. Aristotle and Aquinas, philosophers who lived in past, defined Greek concept of equity, and Anglo-Americans defined their work into present form.
Aristotle is the philosopher who lived back in 384 BC to 322 BC. He is a famous Greek philosopher who wrote Ethics, and he mentioned the basic concepts of equity that are used in present days. He was the first man to show all the existing examples. Aquinas is the philosopher who lived in Italia during 13th century. He developed the concepts of equity that Aristotle mentioned in Ethics.
